We want to connect you with collaborative family lawyers and mediators for a no-court separation
How does a collaborative separation work?
You and your ex-partner will commit to participate in a collaborative process without the threat of court. You’ll each have your own lawyer. Your lawyers (and other professionals if required) build a team around you both to help you focus on the family’s wellbeing, and find optimal solutions, while working to reduce the negative emotional, social and financial consequences of your separation.
Who is a good candidate for a collaborative separation?
The collaborative separation process is recommended if you and your ex-partner are committed to be co-operative, communicative, and future-focused during the separation process and want to avoid court proceedings, high legal fees and conflict escalation. If you have children involved, this process helps to preserve and / or expand positive co-parenting relationships.
What are the benefits of collaborative separation?
Maximized Settlement Options: The collaborative approach aims to maximize settlement options for all parties involved, fostering a cooperative atmosphere conducive to reaching agreements that everyone can live with.
Personalized Solutions: By actively participating in discussions and negotiations, participants retain control over the outcome and can tailor solutions to meet their unique needs and circumstances.
