Graduate Students
Instructional Coordinator/Graduate Student
I graduated Sacramento State with my bachelor's in psychology in spring 2023. I am currently a first year grad student and coordinator in the yPAR research project. My research interests include youth mental health, community psychology, and accessibility in mental health services of communities experiencing poverty.
Some of my hobbies include playing video games, playing with my dog, and coloring.

I graduated Spring of 2024 with a Bachelor's in Psychology. When it comes to research/academic interests, I’m very much all over the place but I enjoy learning about liberation, Latin American studies, and music.
Out of academics, you can usually find me listening to music, obsessing over random things or playing video games
Lab Coordinator/Post-Grad Researcher
I graduated from Sacramento State in Spring 2024 as a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice. My research interests are mental health services in the criminal justice system, forensic psychology, youth mental health, drug and alcohol counseling, and community psychology.
I enjoy watching and playing sports, singing, acting, hiking, going to the beach, biking, and spending time with friends and family.

I graduated from Sacramento State University as a Psychology major during Spring 2024. My research interests include rehabilitation counseling, cross-cultural counseling, trauma and resilience, and the impact of our environment on mental health.

I am a fourth-year undergraduate student soon to graduate in the spring of 2025 at Sac State. My major is psychology with a particular interest in health and well-being as well as mental health counseling.
On my off time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, going to the gym, and listening to music.

Alumni Volunteer/Graduated Student at San Francisco State University
I graduated from Sac State in the Spring of 2022 and am starting my first semester of grad school this Fall of 2022 at San Francisco State University. My research interests include working with communities of color, supporting first-generation college students, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
In my free time I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, being a Tia (Auntie), working on DIY projects with my fave DIY-er (my dad), I love being outdoors for nature walks, hikes, swims, bicycle rides, etc. I am originally from East Los Angeles and now I am making my way to the Bay Area and am looking forward to exploring the city!

I am an undergraduate student and will be completing my Bachelors in Psychology in Fall 2023. I have worked with kids for a long time and am interested in continuing to work with them after I graduate or perhaps working in the field of mental health. Psychology has been very interesting to me because I love to learn about the brain, human interactions, and how life affects children as they grow into adults.
Some interests of mine are hiking with my dog, playing sports, and riding motorcycles.

I am currently an undergraduate student at Sacramento State. I'm in my fourth year, so I'm almost at the finish line! A couple of subfields of psychology that I'm interested in are counseling psychology and social psychology.
A fun fact about myself is that I love waking up early in the morning because it feels like I have so much time in a day!

I am currently a fourth year undergrad student graduating December 2023. I am interested in community psychology, substance use disorder treatment and prevention, and clinical mental health treatment.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento. Right now, I am working on my Master's degree in the General Psychology Program, with a focus on community psychology-also at Cal State, Sacramento.
My primary research interest is in the respective applications of critical consciousness and radical healing to address mental health challenges. My thesis project, which is still in progress, investigates the ways in which agency of communities is represented in critical consciousness research.
In my free time, I enjoy jogging, hiking, and reading about topics other than psychology.
Evaluation Research Fellow/Graduated
I recently obtained my masters in psychology. My thesis focused assesing Critical Literacy with fourth and fifth graders at an after-school program which includes youth participatory action research (yPAR).
I recieved my B.A in Psychology in December of 2019 and took a year and a half off before I decided to pursue my master's degree. I have the intention of applying to Ph.D. programs in the future to become a profesora.
My hobbies include crocheting, watering my plants, reading, casual thrifiting, and taking my dog on walks.

I am in my third year as a grad student at Sacramento State, I returned after receiving my bachelor's in psychology in 2021. I am currently working on our community project involving youth participatory action research along with my fellow lab mates. My research interests include empowerment, collective action, and social justice.
Outside of school, I love reading, art, thrifting, and cuddling with my cats.
