Colin Dupuis is currently enrolled at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) where he is currently working on his MS in Computer Engineering. Colin had previously completed his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at ULL where he completed hands-on design projects that laid the foundation for his work in machine learning implementations on embedded devices. Colin's academic achievements have been recognized through numerous awards, including the High Achievement Award and the Academic Excellence Award.
Outside of academics, Colin engages in the broader engineering and research community. He has maintained a membership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since his undergrad and more recently became a member of IEEE's Circuits and Systems Society (CASS). Colin participates IEEE's academic and professional development events and even presented his first paper at IEEE's MWSCAS conference in August 2025.
Colin has also gained valuable research and industrial experience through a variety of summer internships. This includes roles as an electrical design engineering intern at Metal Shark Boats in Jeanerette, Louisianna, and as a machine learning researcher for the Informatics Research Institute at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. These experiences have given him a diverse and rich perspective which will serve him well in his future academic and career endeavors.
