About Me

As I said before, my name is Colin Hogan, and I am a student journalist at Arizona State University. I expect to graduate in May 2026 and begin my professional journalism career. 

I hope to work in either professional or collegiate sports, delivering not only breaking news but also the stories beneath the surface. 

At Arizona State, I have had the privilege to work with Cronkite News, AZPreps365, Inferno Intel and other publications throughout the Valley. I've learned from some accomplished journalists who have helped me sharpen my skills. 

Also, in the summer of 2025, I had the opportunity to intern with Suburban One Insider and help the site go live. In the five months I contributed to S1 Insider, I helped the site gather over 1,000,000 views while reporting on local high school sports. 

I pride myself on reporting with transparency and shining a light on people, places and things that often go overlooked. My passion and love for sports have helped guide me through my young journalism career.  

I have published in-depth stories at both the high school and collegiate levels and have also covered breaking news. Beyond reporting, I am proficient in both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. 

Before Arizona State, I started my college journey at Louisiana State University, where I wrote a feature story on former New Orleans Saints special teams coaches Phil Galiano and Darren Rizzi. 

I graduated in 2022 from Upper Moreland High School in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
