Welcome to Junipa Creative, the brand fronting the portfolio of Jennifer Coley, Graphic Designer & Illustrator based in Liverpool (UK). My website is a showcase for my work, professional and personal which ranges from illustration, graphic design, corporate identity and logo creation to fine art, photography and web design.
With over 20 years industry experience as a Graphic Designer, I am currently seeking to advance my career within a professional and creative environment.
Riverside College, Cronton College, Wirral Metropolitain College, Liverpool City Council, Moon & Pea Restaurant,
The Junior Chefs Acdemy, Zero Waste Project, Maintenance by Global, Go Penguins, Maestro Academy of Music,
Hunts Cross Community, Green Apprentices, The Village Store, plus many more.
I have experienced many roles during my career within different industries from print studio, finance & banking, retail, environmental,
health & safety and educational environments all of which have added to my vast experience.
As part of the marketing team at Wirral Metropolitan College, my role involved research, design and development of promotional materials, including prospectuses, posters, leaflets, press adverts and digital designs for web using the latest industry standard software,
including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign on an Apple Mac.
The role required a level of responsibility that involved proof reading, attention to detail and liaising with external companies including printers, education authorities and other educational establishments. Working for multiple departments required strong organisational skills being able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines whilst also being aware of diversity, equal opportunities and College protocol, mission and vision.

Due to the popularity of the ‘Superlambanana’ project in Liverpool, the Community group ‘Wild in Art’ developed a new project for for the region called ‘Go Penguins’ designed to once again, dazzle the world with creativity as colonies of beautifully created penguins form a ‘Winter’s Trail’ around the city highlighting Liverpool's cultural and seasonal offerings. On my own initiative and remembering the success of the ‘superlambananas’, I entered my designs for submission, representing Wirral Metropolitan College. Being successful in my application I was chosen as the artist to represent WMC for the ‘Go Penguins’ winter exhibition.
Upon completion of the Advanced National Diploma in Point of Sale Packaging at Hugh Baird College during 1998 where I achieved a distinction grade, my end of year final examination was entered into the National Awards for ‘Point of Sale’ Packaging Design. Entries were submitted from all the college’s and universities in the UK. To my surprise, I won the National Gold Medal Award for my P.O.S. Packaging Project. Hugh Baird College requested to keep my project on display in the design department.
I have always had ambitions to start my own business and whilst working part-time and being a full-time mum,
this gave me the perfect opportunity to get started and get creative.
With my background in art & design, graphics, visual display, photography and image editing software,
I have combined my talents to create original, colourful cards and gifts on my Etsy store: JellyJebs.

As well as having an educational theme, the penguin design also has a nautical touch, featuring portholes on the front & reverse of the penguin with views of the Mersey, the Liverpool skyline and the College campuses.
