My college Experience
Ill start off with my education, I studied hospitality and tourism in IT Tallaght although it was a good experience after a good few years if work I decided to educate myself further.
Which brings me to Black Rock of further education. I did two years of business I did this to see if there was a particular area for me to go into as I progressed I found it was all needed to own my own business.
So now I am currently in my second year at IADT studying business entrepreneurship, while studying here I have gained confidence in my ability to generate my ideas into potential development. I have learnt great knowledge in Finance, Economics, how to create websites, set out a Business plan any many more subjects where I have peaked at gaining intelligence.
I feel I have a lot more skills to grow while progressing into my final year at IADT!
My Work Experience
I've worked mainly in hospitality my whole career, with a bit of retail and call center in both Ireland and Australia
My top work experience is the K club during the Ryder Cup and WACA during the cricket competitions with these places I've gained flexibility and being able to adapt to a new environment
I’ve worked in Cone heads take out in Melbourne where I was acting supervisor when the boss was not in work. I gained organizational skills and generated an idea for calling out order that are ready to go.
My first hotel experience is the red cow hotel where I worked as a waitress for breakfast and learnt excellent team work ability skills and able to work under pressure and confidence
I am currently working in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, while working here I have gained an amazing experience and most importantly a great skill set including top table at Weddings ,Set up and look after Tours on my own with help on serving meals, breakfast and evening waitress with bar work and Organizing an event from the Duty Manager Folder.
While studying in college doing Business Entrepreneurship I have also completed work experience in the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel learning and experiencing shadowing Banqueting and Catering Manager and Wedding planning.
My Achievements
Although I failed my first business I still consider it to be an achievement. My idea was an app which was poorly executed by the engineers, but what I've learned is to do research and take my time planning all the steps. I will bring this to my next business.
One of my favorite things to do in the past was karate I've trained for years showing dedication, won competitions showing discipline karate skills and techniques, but most importantly I got my black belt
Another achievement is becoming a Garda Reserve where I trained and experienced working in the Garda force, gaining decisiveness, decision making skills, team work, calm in pressure and observant
