Our Mission

The Coleman J Werts Scholarship Fund was founded by Skip and Tracey Werts.  The Coleman J Werts Scholarship was created to help 4 Lexington/Richland District 5 Students “Reach For The Stars” when it comes to their post high school plans. This $1,000 scholarship allows these students to pursue their dreams. Our hope is that they will not only spread a light like Coleman did, but also make a change in the community. Not only does The Coleman J Werts Scholarship Fund Scholarships, it also helps teachers with their school supply list, donates book bags and supplies to local elementary students and contributes to local PTSO. Funds have been raised by family, friends, and business contributions.
