Get ready for your 2024-2025 musical! There will be a lot of laughter, a little love, and a dash of sibling rivalry as the Cole Drama Club unveils its Spring 2025 production: Something Rotten! Jr. This uproarious musical comedy will take the stage on April 4-5, and you won’t want to miss being a part of it!
Set in the colorful world of Renaissance England, “Something Rotten! Jr.” tells the story of Nick and Nigel Bottom, two brothers who are struggling to find their place in the shadow of the rockstar playwright, William Shakespeare. With a quest to write the world’s first musical, Nick concocts a wild scheme to outshine the Bard, leading to a hilarious series of events filled with mistaken identities, outrageous characters, and show-stopping numbers!

Audition Prep & Other important information
For complete information on preparing for auditions, including character breakdowns, song selections and sides, please visit our dedicated cast website:
Cole Drama Club - Something Rotten! Jr.
- You are not required to memorize lines or songs from the play. We will have the scenes printed and songs available to be read.
- You are also welcome to sing a song from another play. Please no pop songs. It would be best to sing a song from a musical.
- You will only be singing for 60-90 seconds.
- All kids will be expected to stay until 4:30pm on their audition day. If your child needs to be picked up early, please email us to let us know so we can coordinate properly.
- We will be in touch Wednesday with updates about any kids who are needed for callbacks.
- Please pack snacks for your child!
- Donation Info: If you haven't already, you can submit your Cole Drama Club donation payment via Venmo @IrisAlva or by check to Cole Drama Club that can be dropped off in the front office.
