I am a born and bred Southern from the region of Louisiana. I firmly believe that Dixie is the best state, we got the best food, the best people, the best traditions; however, our state is still behind other parts of the country as many people still lack health insurance, people are stuck in poverty, and we have not truly dealt with the environmental issues our state is facing. In Congress, I authored and cosponsored many pieces of legislation that sought to race the minimum wage, expand workers rights, and expand civil rights. I am endorsed by the Democratic Party and the Bull Moose Party.
