# Privacy Policy for Coinslip

Thank you for using Coinslip ("the App", "we", "our"). This Privacy
Policy explains how the App handles your information. Coinslip is
designed to work fully offline and stores your subscription data locally
on your device.
## 1. Information We Collect
### 1.1 Information you provide
Coinslip lets you manually add information about your subscriptions,
such as:
- Subscription name, category, price, currency, and billing period
- Renewal dates, notes, and reminder preferences
- A custom icon, photo, or image URL you choose for a subscription
- Usage logs (e.g., when you mark a subscription as "used today")
All of this information is stored **locally on your device** using local
storage (Hive). We do not upload, sync, or have access to this data on any
server.
### 1.2 Information collected automatically
Coinslip itself does not collect analytics, usage statistics, or
device identifiers, and does not use any third-party analytics SDKs.
### 1.3 Advertising (AdMob)
Coinslip may display advertisements provided by **Google AdMob**. When
ads are enabled, Google AdMob (and its partners) may collect and process
certain data to serve and measure ads, which can include:
- Advertising identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA)
- Device and app information (device type, OS version, app version,
general location derived from IP address)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with
Google's own privacy policy:

Depending on your region, you may be shown a consent dialog (e.g., under
GDPR or similar regulations) allowing you to manage ad personalization
and tracking preferences. You can also adjust ad personalization settings
in your device's system settings (e.g., "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
on Android, or "Limit Ad Tracking" / App Tracking Transparency on iOS).
## 2. Permissions We Use
Coinslip requests the following device permissions, used only for the
purposes described:
- **Notifications** - to send you renewal reminders and re-engagement
reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings or in
your device's system settings.
- **Photo library access** - to let you choose a custom image/icon for a
subscription. Photos are stored locally and are never uploaded.
- **Internet access** - used to (a) load a custom subscription icon image
if you provide an image URL, and (b) serve and measure advertisements
(if/when ads are enabled).
## 3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your subscription data with third parties.
The only third party that may process limited data on our behalf is
**Google AdMob**, as described in Section 1.3, for the purpose of showing
advertisements.
## 4. Data Storage and Security
All subscription, usage, and settings data is stored locally on your
device. If you uninstall the App, this data is permanently deleted. We
recommend using your device's backup features if you want to preserve
your data.
## 5. Children's Privacy
Coinslip is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of
digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children.
## 6. Your Choices
- You can delete any or all subscriptions and their history at any time
from within the App.
- You can disable notifications in Settings.
- You can manage ad personalization through your device's system privacy
settings.
- Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
## 7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be
posted with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after
changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
