Start With the Official Coinbase Website
For a secure login, begin by navigating directly to the official Coinbase website rather than clicking an unexpected login link. Check the website address carefully before entering your email address, password, or verification code.
Phishing websites can be designed to look almost identical to legitimate cryptocurrency services. They may use familiar logos, fake security warnings, or urgent messages claiming that your account must be verified immediately.
A good practice is to bookmark the verified Coinbase website and use that bookmark whenever you need to sign in. You can also review the official Coinbase Help Center if you are unsure about the current login or account process.
Prepare Your Device Before Login
Your device is an important part of your account security. Before accessing Coinbase Advanced, make sure your operating system, browser, and Coinbase mobile application are updated.
Use a personal device rather than a public computer whenever possible. Protect the device with a strong passcode or password, and enable biometric security where supported.
Avoid installing unknown browser extensions or applications immediately before accessing your cryptocurrency account. Untrusted software can create additional security risks.
A secure device combined with a carefully protected Coinbase account can reduce the likelihood of unauthorized access.
To access your Coinbase account, use your registered credentials through the official Coinbase interface. Depending on your account and security configuration, Coinbase may request additional verification.
Never share your password, authentication codes, security keys, or other confidential login information with another person. Coinbase support should not require you to disclose sensitive credentials simply to help troubleshoot an account issue.
If you receive a message asking you to click a link and "unlock" or "secure" your Coinbase account, do not rush. Open Coinbase independently and check your account there.
Enable Strong Account Security
Two-factor authentication can add an additional layer of protection to your account. Coinbase provides multiple security features, including two-factor authentication and other account-protection options. Its Advanced platform also supports security features such as address allowlisting and, where available, security-key support
