I am passionate about increasing physical activity for youth of all abilities, ensuring athletes gain confidence and competence in movement. I strongly believe that by focusing on true fundamentals, we can help any athlete, no matter their skill level.
At the core of my training philosophy is the belief that mastering the fundamentals of movement is the key to unlocking athletic potential. We focus on cognitive training—what we call "brain to body"—to develop proprioception and neuromuscular control, ensuring that movements can be activated on demand, even under fatigue. By studying the sport of each athlete, I tailor my approach to make movement training relevant and intuitive. Through education, adaptability, and a commitment to the fundamentals, I help athletes build a strong, functional foundation that enhances their performance and longevity in sports.
How I develop my programs
My programs utilize the Movement Education Framework to enhance children and young adults' executive function skills. Executive function is a critical set of mental processes that enable individuals to plan, organize, and regulate their behavior.
Cognitive Kinetics is focused more on the education approach rather than the traditional training approach.
I work on the fundamental motor skills and apply the skills to the athletes specialized sport specific skills.
Fundamental Motor skills increase Cognitive Performance in Sports by increasing reaction time, enhance emotional recognition, and social emotional learning .
Cognitive: This refers to mental processes such as thinking, learning, and problem-solving.
Kinetics: This relates to the study of motion and forces.
