Working Memory

Storage of information for short period of time so that one can perform simple as well as complex cognitive tasks requires working memory. Working memory comprises a network distributed across various regions of brain.

Researchers over the last several years are trying to transform cognitive psychology model of working memory into neural architecture and to locate specific brain areas of components of working memory.
