The Eye Deity

"Come and see me... at the top." -Eyes from the Gameplay Trailer

There is no official name for this entity as I know of, so some names to refer to it are:

• Eyes

• Eye Deity

My Assumptions/Guesses (Potentially Theories)

Of course, I do have some assumptions and guesses on what this thing could be, as we don't know much about this thing based on what was provided to us in the game, however we could go off of what we do know.

• It is a deity/god of some sorts

  • It may have power to keep them in a place.

• It is charismatic

  • • Assuming that we are climbing because we are convinced we can change something.

      • • The "change something" assumption is based on the Raphael Trailer and some clues in the game.

    • It convinces the climber in the Raphael Trailer to leave someone (or more) behind to climb up.

    • It will tell you that its your friend.

• It does not like being lied to.

  • • Based on if you lied about your name, it will not like it.

      • • The text makes it look angry when you lie.

Also, within the game, it keeps saying "we", it could possibly indicate that it could either be more than the eyes that are watching us climb. Though I am not sure this will be likely, since the eye deity is the only one we could see.

It isn't something to be trusted based on a previous climber's writings on a wall.
