Through the Mission Unit and Connexion MCYU, this initiative and missional work was one that was needed and impactful to its recipients. Students who had applied have been provided for in terms of, registration fees, accommodation fees, toiletries and food as well as data fees. we thank God that this could be done for students that have been hit with unforeseeable circumstances. 

The MCYU had answered a call to mission following the devastating fires that engulfed Joe Slovo Community in Langa. The MCYU had donated 30 uniforms to those in need in the community. 

Through the help of the Connexional Mission Unit and the Connexional MCYU, the CoGH MCYU will be embarking on a Shoe-Drive to all the natural disaster affected areas in the district. 

The unit participated with donating shoes to the Rosebank Wesley Guild to its annual Health Awareness Trip in the 2023 year. This was held at the Central Karoo Circuit in Beaufort West. The shoes were handed over to needy students at the community school in Mandlenkosi Community.
