cognitive epistemology lab

how do and should we learn about the world?

this site is under active development as the lab launches in Fall 2026

We study cognitive mechanisms of discovery, with the goal to better understand and improve human learning and science specifically. Lab's research sits at the intersection of cognitive psychology, computer science, and philosophy of science. Key research topics include (but aren’t limited to): experimentation, theory building, causal learning, concept development, mathematical reasoning, and social learning.
