The Librarian's Assembly is an organization of Jedi Lore Keepers tasked with overseeing the collection, transcription, and distribution of information and scholarly materials across the galaxy. It is led by the Chief Librarian and reports directly to the Council of First Knowledge.
Jedi Librarians have three paths available to them once they reach the status of a full Librarian, they are the Historian, Sage, and Archivist, as described at the bottom of the page. All of the members of these paths are still considered Librarians, and as such may still work in the Archives in-game.
Directly below, you will find the Librarian's Handbook as it was written by the first Chief Librarian in the Order. Most information can be found there, and so it is the opinion of this writer that any further elaboration is redundant.
Jedi Historians are members of the Assembly who are dedicated to the study of the Order's history. Of particular note is their service as chroniclers for heroes of the Order and the Republic, as well as their work in preserving Jedi and Sith Holocrons.
In our Order, Historians work as chroniclers for the Councils and the Masters within the Order. They write personal histories, instructional guides, and other information as dictated by the Councils or Masters. Once the draft is finalized, the Historian places it into a Holocron which then becomes accessible in the Vault.
Jedi Archivists handle the bread and butter of the Assembly and can typically be found researching lore for their next big academic piece. They spend most of their time writing or organizing pieces into the appropriate categories for the in-game Archives. They do not handle personal-level writing like Jedi Historians and instead dedicate themselves to purely academic, informative writing.
Jedi Sages tend to be more interactive with other members of the Order than their counterparts. They typically serve as the hosts for lore lectures and meditation sessions, both of which are frequent occurrences and can be attended by any member of the Order regardless of rank.
Of the three paths, this is the most difficult to join outright due to its nature as a calm, meditative role when compared to Historians and Archivists who remain quite busy with their assignments.
