Hi! My name is Cofii_Bean, but you can just call me Cofii. This is my art portfolio, a place you can see some of my compiled work - not just for your viewing pleasure, but also to know if you'd like to commission me! Please, by all means, feel free to scroll, and inspect my favorite pieces.
Here, to the left, is Bean, my fursona. They're 4'2 and only 100 pounds, and they love strawberries, art, and their butterfly wife, Sabrina. They also are a DND character of mine, a monk of the elements. They are part of a faction known as the Monks of the Sacred Arts, who keep the art of old dances alive, from various cultures across the world. The higher level monks in the faction, like Bean themself, is able to apply the dances to combat. Bean is by far my favorite character design I have created. The curves are a joy to both draw and observe, the colors are soft and all belong to a smaller palette, and it flows beautifully, as well as having a strong silhouette, something I value greatly as a character designer.
I'd go as far as to say I am a character designer first over everything. I have a bunch of video games in mind to create, where I have designed every character in them myself (except one, but we'll get there). My favorite aspect of my games, above worldbuilding, gameplay, and story, is the characters who inhabit the world. I work on them all the time, and am always adding edits until perfection.
The common aspects you'll see of my art style is its cleanliness, as well as its brighter colors. There is a heavy focus on strong linework with little detail, as most of the real detail lies in the colors, which I use to create patterns, scales, fur texture, etc. Shading and lighting is flat, and I love to blend colors too. I try to do more reserved color palettes, only expanding into more colors than I'm used to upon the client's request.
Here to the right is a great example of it - the aforementioned wife of Bean, Sabrina. Also being in the same DND campaign, she's a runaway princess of a kingdom of butterflies, who lost a war against a rivalling wasp kingdom. The last of her kind, she seeks ultimate vengeance against the wasps who killed her family and people. Outside of that though, she has a greater urge to protect the tiny little sheep she couldn't help but fall in love with.
False Prophet
A news editor and camera man who writes for a station that tells lies. Does he keep his job to keep the benefits and security, or leave so he can finally help spread the truth?
Seething Rage
A boxer with a horrible family life and a burning passion to harm. The rage inside him is so strong, he tears himself apart at the seams. The stitches of therapy cannot save him.
Here is by far my favorite series of artworks I've created. A komodo dragon, a wolf, a raccoon, and a fox, who were once human. All of them have been mutated from their previously humanly exteriors, into these monsters who represent their greatest fears. In terms of artistry, I'm proud of these detail these designs have, while still not looking too busy. They're also some of my scarier designs, while I usually stick to cute.
Chlorophoric Parasites
A hairstylist whose boyfriend killed himself after she broke up with him. Now, she's desperate to cling onto life, even when it hurts her, harming herself to keep it alive.
Hanging On
A dancer who hides their depression behind a smile. They love to rope dance, but until now, have always wanted to know the feeling of having that rope around their neck.
While I mostly show off my digital art, as it appears cleaner, I am no stranger to traditional. I've been at it since seventh grade, which has really helped hone my speed and sketchwork. In fact, I often workshop designs traditionally before translating them to digital. Here is a study of mine which I am incredibly proud of, despite being a few years old. I wanted to focus entirely on linework, using the thickness of lines to better convey the shape of a character. Another aspect of my traditional art versus my digital art is that it tends to have more detail.
Here is a WIP series of characters of mine that are aliens, known as Spectrohoppers. Part of a game of mine under the same name, it is by far my most ambitious project, and the one I have the most work done on so far. The art itself is some of my favorite I have ever done, outlining the character with a much thicker line. It helps make them stand out from the background so nicely, even when they're the same color as it.
A Chosen Star Seer, tasked with using their affinity for spacial matter and the stars to keep in contact with other advanced alien races, up to galaxies away.
A convict charged with attempted kidnapping of a popstar, as well as the murder of four others. However, there's much more to the story, that only they know.
A skilled sniper who is also a master of hardware and the likes. They created a drone, known as H4LL-1N, who also has the same Star Seer capabilites as Astrin.
