Save WWV and WWVH (and WWVB*) from the proposed 2019 Federal Budget cuts: Here's the link to the petition to continue funding for NIST operations of all WWV services:

De-funding WWV, WWVH, and WWVB would reduce the federal budget by $6.3 million, which is 0.00015% of the $4.1 TRILLION 2018 federal budget. The 2019 federal budget is likely to be >$6 TRILLION, so the cost of WWV, WWVH, and WWVB operations would be < 0.0001% of the 2019 federal budget.

The petition is just one vehicle to persuade congress to continue funding of WWV, WWVH, and WWVB. I encourage those who regard WWV as a singularly invaluable service to global communications, to call and/or write your congressional representative before September 15...requesting continued funding for WWV, WWVH, and WWVB.

*WWVB issues the 60 KHz radio signal to periodically and automatically update time/date of so-called "atomic" clocks and watches of consumers and industry..
