Dan lives in Cheney, Washington
I first got into ham radio in the late 60’s but soon after discovered girls and joined the Navy. I did not join the ham world again until early 2019 and have found it does a great job filling that down time that has come with retirement. I am active on 2 meters but my true interest is in HF. I have already worked all states and currently attempting to work all continents and at present have three of the seven.
I have been retired since 2018, at that time I had been driving truck with my wife for five years. Before I started driving truck I had been teaching at Eastern Washington University since 2009. I had a long career teaching but knew it was time to get out of the academic field due to the, shall we say the shift in the winds of free thought. Now I am enjoying ham radio and my time being my own.
PS for those that want to know I taught Disability Studies.
