Googlegeeking 3: Unknown Gems

1. Google Earth Engine - there are several options here, but the one I love is Timelapse. This allows you check out an area and see how it has changed over a period of time starting back in 1984.

2. Google Feud - Can you guess how Google autocompletes searches? This is Family Feud Google style. Not always safe for school.

3. lmgtfy - a great passive aggressive answer to all the dumb questions

4. Gmail Meter - a monthly report of all your email usage and stats

5. Google Sky - a great view of the sky with a mixture of seeing the sky in different wavelengths

6. AI Experiments with Google - a site of fun and experimental ideas and games.

7. Google Fit - this arrived on the scene in 2014 along with Apple Health. While there is no iOS app there is a nice web interface. With the recent updates from Google integrating health into your Google Calendar just got a bit smoother.

8. jigsaw - This falls under Alphabet and is something to showcase in your class. The power of the internet and technology.....for good and bad. I see potential in some powerful class discussions and projects from this and even better is the tools we can now use that have been created.

9. Constitute Project - the best way to study government documents and compare/contrast

10. Google Newspapers - a massive archived collection of newspapers

11. I Am Cardboard - great cardboard devices to add your phone for VR. Works great with Expeditions.

12. Google Expeditions - Finally open to everyone. Great VR field trips and a perfect way to bring the world to your students.
