About

Rowing at the College of Charleston

As a club sports team at CofC, we are just as competitive as our D1 sports teams, however, we are not a traditional sport offered through the college. All of our team members are CofC students and we operate through the College of Charleston Campus Recreation Services. Practices are held throughout the city of Charleston with land workouts at Customs House and Colonial Lake and on-water practices at Brittlebank Park.

History

The crew team has been a competitive sports club at the College of Charleston since 1989. For the past thirty years, we have focused on recruiting new generations of rowers who wish to represent our college at the nation's most prestigious regattas.

Commitment

In order to be a serious competitor against other collegiate crew teams, our team holds practices daily to grow our skills as rowers. Whether that means going out in singles, doubles, quads, or eights in the Ashley for water practice, or doing a land workout as a team around Charleston, we will push you to become the best you can be.
