Pre-work

Hello Interns,

As promised here is the pre-work requirement for the STEMcx Cybersecurity Internship.

To get started, navigate to learn.paloaltonetworks.com and create a free account using your email address. During registration, enter N/A for the Company/Organization field, set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using Google Authenticator on your smartphone, and accept the Terms of Use. Once your account is active, click the “Prepare for an Exam” dropdown, select Foundational, choose Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Apprentice, and click Enroll to access your learning path.

After enrolling, you are required to complete all 6 mandatory courses in the learning path: Cloud Security Fundamentals, Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Endpoint Security, Network Security Fundamentals, Security Operations Fundamentals, and Understanding Security Operations: Foundational. The total estimated completion time is 10 hours and 25 minutes, so plan to work through at least two courses per week. 

All 6 courses must be completed by Saturday, June 13, 2025.
