Prof. Kerstin Dautenhahn


Dr. Kerstin Dautenhahn is Canada’s 150 Research Chair in Intelligent Robotics at University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. She has a joint appointment with the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Systems Design Engineering and is cross-appointed with the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at University of Waterloo. She is the director of the Social and Intelligent Robotics Research Laboratory. The main research areas are Human-Robot Interaction, Social Robotics, Assistive Technology and Artificial Life


Prof. Eva cerezo


Dr. Eva Cerezo received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Zaragoza, Zaragoza, Spain, in 2002. She is an Associate Professor with the Computer Science Department, University of Zaragoza. She leads the AffectiveLab, a research group that focuses on affective multimodal human-computer interaction, tangible tabletops, and virtual humans. She has authored more than 80 international publications. Dr. Cerezo is the Head of the Executive Board of the ACM SIGCHI Spanish Local Chapter and a member of AMIT (Spanish Association of Women Researchers and Technologists)


Prof. BEN ROBINS


Dr. Ben Robins started his research in 2002 investigating the potential use of robots as therapeutic or educational 'toys' specifically for use by children with autism. This research focuses on ways that robotic systems can engage autistic children in simple interactive activities, with the aim of encouraging basic communication and social interaction skills. His current work is to further investigate robot-assisted therapy for children with autism with the minimally expressive humanoid robot KASPAR.
