This Privacy Policy describes how Codes Plus ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Codes Plus mobile application ("the App") and the related services provided at https://codesplus.app.
By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- **Account information:** When you register, we collect your full name, your mobile phone number (which is used as your login identifier), and your governorate and city. You may also choose to upload a profile photo.
- **Education information:** Your enrolled classes, subjects, school year, teachers, lecture schedules, and attendance-related choices.
- **Feedback and ratings:** Ratings and comments you submit about lectures, teachers, or purchases.
- **Payment information:** When you purchase access codes, we collect your payment method reference number (e.g., your Fawry payment reference number) and payment confirmation screenshots you upload. We do **not** collect or store your full bank card numbers or payment credentials — payments are processed through the payment method you choose.
- **Support communications:** Any messages you send us when requesting support.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- **Chat messages and attachments:** Messages you exchange with us through the in-app chat, including images, audio recordings, videos, and files you attach. These may include your WhatsApp phone number when you communicate with us through WhatsApp.
- **Push notification tokens:** We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send you notifications (e.g., lecture reminders, payment confirmations, feedback requests). A device token is stored to deliver these notifications.
- **Usage and error data:** We may collect technical information such as device model, operating system version, and error logs to diagnose and fix issues. We use Sentry, a crash-reporting service, for this purpose. This data does not include your name or contact details.
1.3 Information from the Admin Panel
Our staff may access the information described above through our password-protected administrative web panel in order to operate the service (e.g., approve payments, respond to chat messages, manage banners and classes).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account and enrollments;
- Deliver the educational content you purchase and track your access codes;
- Process and confirm your payments;
- Send you notifications about lectures, payments, feedback requests, and important service updates;
- Provide in-app chat support and respond to your requests;
- Send one-time passwords (OTPs) and service messages through WhatsApp using your mobile number;
- Improve, debug, and secure the App;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do **not** sell your personal information, and we do **not** use your information for advertising or targeted marketing.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only with the service providers needed to operate the App, and only to the extent necessary:
- **Supabase** — our cloud database, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions provider. Your account data, chat messages, uploaded files, and payment records are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
- **Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)** — used to deliver push notifications to your device.
- **Meta (WhatsApp)** — used to deliver OTP codes and service messages to your WhatsApp phone number, and to handle WhatsApp conversations you initiate with us.
- **Sentry** — crash and error reporting.
- **Vercel** — hosting of our administrative web panel (no student data is publicly displayed).
We do not rent, sell, or share your personal information with any third party for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the service, our users, or others.
4. Children's Privacy
The App is an educational service and may be used by students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to remove that information.

5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations:
- **Account and enrollment data:** retained while your account is active.
- **Payment records:** retained as required by financial and tax regulations.
- **Chat messages and attachments:** retained to provide support and audit records.
- **Push notification tokens and error logs:** retained on a rolling basis and deleted when no longer needed.
How to Delete Your Data
- **In the App:** you may delete your own chat messages. You may contact us to request full account deletion.
- **By request:** you can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing **support@codesplus.app**. We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (such as payment records).
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), role-based access controls, and restricted access to the administrative panel. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies (Administrative Web Panel)
The administrative web panel used by our staff may use cookies and local storage for authentication and preferences. The student mobile App does not use cookies

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
