The CodeBreakHERS is a cybersecurity camp for high school girls taking place at USF every year. Our last edition was from June 17th to June 21st 2019. See you in 2020!

Our students learn about various topics related to cybersecurity:

  • Operating a Linux-based system.
  • The basics of encoding the information, including error-correcting codes.
  • Applied cryptography, including blockchains and cryptocurrencies.
  • Capture the Flag competitions, and plenty of other hands-on activities.

Moreover, the students will receive the visit of actual CodeBreakHERS!

We have lots of scholarships available:

  • Half of our participants will receive need-based scholarships covering all costs (this means: the camp is free!).
  • Other participants can apply to a merit-based scholarship from USF Innovative education.

Registration: precollege.usf.edu/codebreakhers

The regular cost of the camp is $450 per person for one week. It includes:

  • 5 lunches.
  • Academic instruction and oversight by USF faculty.
  • All materials including access to cryptography and programming software.
  • USF pre-College water bottle and drawstring bag.
