Origins

CODE was founded in 1995 as a Special Research Center of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) by ten faculty members of the Unit of Economic Analysis of the Department of Economics and Economic History at the UAB.

CODE research fellows are also faculty members of the Unit of Economic Analysis of the Department of Economics and Economic History at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Research fellows are organized along two broad research groups. These groups are roughly divided by topic under two main areas: Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Each of the two groups contains those fellows that belong to the same AGAUR-SGR grants in 2023.
