Welcome to CODE – Comprehensive Overview of Dynamic Emergencies. This curriculum will guide you through strategies for managing critically ill patients, including role assignment, escalation of care, and diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for common medical emergencies. Though designed specifically for rising senior residents, the curriculum exists to provide foundational knowledge and resources that residents can rely on throughout their education. By participating in this course, we hope that you will be better prepared to respond confidently in critical situations. Finally, please note that if you are a resident outside of the Mount Sinai West/Morningside Program, the procedures and policies for escalating patient care will likely be different at your program.
