It’s time to READ, Cougars! 🐾📚

Join us for three weeks of reading, friendly competition, prizes and fundraising as we work together to support Cochrane Elementary!

🚨 FIRST STEP: ADD YOUR STUDENT

Parents and guardians must add their student to our Read-A-Thon through 99Pledges.

Once your student’s page is created, you can:

📚 Log reading minutes
💙 Share their personal fundraising page with friends and family
💰 Collect donations online
🏆 Help their class compete for weekly prizes

If we reach BOTH goals, the entire school earns a:

We’ll celebrate together on October 9!

👕 EVERY PARTICIPANT GETS A T-SHIRT!

Every student who participates in the Read-A-Thon will receive a Read-A-Thon T-shirt!

Make sure your student has a 99Pledges page so their participation can be counted.

Students can earn individual prizes as they reach reading milestones throughout the Read-A-Thon.

💚 SLIME THE PRINCIPAL!

Yes, really! Students who read 1,000 minutes during the Read-A-Thon earn the chance to slime our principal!

Remember to log reading minutes through 99Pledges so we can track your student’s progress.

💰 FUNDRAISING REWARDS

Students can also earn entries based on how much they raise:

$25 raised = 1 entry
$50 raised = 2 entries
$100 raised = 3 entries

🎟️ PARTICIPATION DRAWING

We’ll also draw 5 winners for Reading Gift Bags!

To qualify, students must:

✓ Have a 99Pledges page created
✓ Log at least 100 minutes of reading

Winners will be drawn during our October 9 celebration!

🏆 CLASS CHALLENGES

There’s a NEW class competition each week!

WEEK 1: PARTICIPATION CHAMPION

The class with the highest percentage of students participating wins a special lunch experience!

Participation includes creating a page, logging minutes and/or raising money.

WEEK 2: FAMILY SUPPORT CHAMPION

The class with the most families who donate wins a:

🍿 PJ PARTY + MOVIE & POPCORN!

WEEK 3: FUNDRAISING CHAMPION

The class that raises the most money gets to:

💚 SLIME THE PRINCIPAL!
