Christina O'Neill

Christina currently serves as the COCBA Chairperson.  She is an elementary Library Media Specialist in Middlebury, CT.  She is also a member of CASL, ALA and AASL.  


Prior to obtaining her Library Media certification through the ARCLMS program, Christina was a classroom teacher for nearly 20 years.  


Christina lives in Southbury with her husband, Terry and she is the proud mother of two sons,  Dan and Matt, and her rescue dog.

Carolyn Matthews

This is Carolyn's seventh year as a Library Media Specialist at Stratfield Elementary School in Fairfield, CT.  She received her library media certification through the ARCLMS program in 2017. Prior to working in Fairfield, she spent 20 years as a classroom teacher with Regional School District 15 in Southbury, CT. 

Carolyn is a member of CASL and in 2015, she received the CASL Follett Creativity Award.

Carolyn and her husband Mike live in Southbury, CT. They have two adult children, Kevin and Alexandra. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, hiking, and reading.

Kerry Collins

Kerry is proud to serve on the COBCA committee. She has served on elementary (2-3) Nutmeg Committees.  Kerry is a member of CASL and an epic! Ambassador.

Kerry earned her library media certification through the ARCLMS program.  The 2023-2024 school year will be her sixth year as an LMS in Bethel, CT.  She taught for 14 years in grades 3 & 5 in Region 15.

Kerry lives in Monroe.  She and her husband, John, have 3  adult children and an energetic puppy.  She enjoys walking, golfing (not well), bicycling, and, of course, reading.

Audra Good

Audra is excited to participate on the COCBA Committee after participating in the program for several years with her students.  She previously served on the Nutmeg Elementary Committee.  Audra is a Library Media Specialist in Norwalk Connecticut where she lives with her husband and raised her 3 children.

Prior to obtaining her Library Media Certification and MLIS from Southern CT University she worked as a Library Assistant and Reading Interventionist.  She also worked for Junior Achievement of Southwest Connecticut for several years.  

Michelle Schwenger

Michelle is thrilled to be serving on the COCBA Committee, as she loves to use the nominated books with her students at the Gainfield Elementary School in Southbury.  She has been a Library Media Specialist there for two years, prior to that she taught for twelve years in Bethany, as an Enrichment Teacher, Tech Integrator and Library Media Specialist.  She also taught first and second grade in New Hampshire for eight years. Michelle lives with her husband, two children and pup, Denali. When she's not reading,she enjoys kayaking, hiking and listening to live music.
