Thank you for your interest in the Cobequid Speed Skating Club!

We are dedicated to promoting the exciting sport of Short Track Speed Skating and fostering a fun, inclusive community for skaters of all ages and abilities in the Truro, Nova Scotia area and beyond.

Our club emphasizes skill development, fitness, and community fun, offering programs ranging from Learn-to-Skate for beginners to advanced Skills Development for experienced skaters.

Season Information & Registration

Registration for our 2026-2027 season is now open! 

Check out our Try It sessions on November 15, 2026 & January 24, 2027! (Pre-Registration is required)

TRY IT! Dates:
November 15, 2026 & January 24, 2027 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM - Pre-Registration is required.

Fee: $20.00

Skate fitting will take place on the Wednesday and Thursday night before your session. Please email the club at cobequidspeedskating@gmail.com with your chosen fitting time from the options below:

6:00 PM to 6:30 PM
6:30 PM to 7:00 PM
7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
7:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Looking for a new sport that’s fast, fun, and exciting? Come give speed skating a try!

✅ Choose any program that works for you or your child.

✅ Coaching & skates included (limited sizes) – no experience needed!

✅ Risk-free – if you register for the season, your session fee will be credited toward your club fee.

Kids and adults welcome! Whether you’re looking for a fun activity for your child, or you’ve always wanted to try it yourself, this is the perfect way to get on the ice and see what speed skating all is about.

Training Location

We train at the Colchester Legion Stadium - 14 Lorne St., Truro, NS.


Basic Equipment

Helmet
Eye Protection
Puffy or cut proof mittens
Ski or snow pants

We offer skate rental to make it easy for new skaters to try the sport!
