This program was developed by me, Rebecca, in 2020. 

I am an Ambassador Girl Scout, (a Junior in high school) and this is my Gold Award project! The Gold Award is the highest award Girl Scouts can earn, so this is a really big deal! Similar to the Eagle project in Boy Scouts, I had to conduct a sustainable, measurable, global project that addressed the root cause of a problem in my community. Given the state of the environment and my passion for the ocean, I created a program to teach people of all ages what they can do in their daily life to reverse humans' negative impact on the ocean and its inhabitants.

I would like to point out that you may be “just a kid” or “just one person”, but you can do so much for the world! Through this program, you learned about the ocean, learned how you can help, and taught others what you learned, which spread the message of environmentalism. That is how I am trying to leave my legacy, by teaching the generation of tomorrow!
