Children Of Aging Parents (COAP) is group of caregivers whose goal is to offer support and encouragement to one another and reduce the challenges of caring for our parents.
The C.O.A.P. group exchanges information and learns about new organizations and resources that are helpful throughout this journey. Join other caregivers in a caring, relaxed, supportive and confidential setting as our group explores the demands and ways to cope with caring for a parent.
* Connect with other adult children who are caring for their parents
* Learn more about the vast resources available to caregivers
* Hear from area professionals who work with caregivers and senior care facilities
* Find out how to access essential resources in our community
* Share your challenges and successes in caring for your parent(s)
* Realize that you are not alone in the challenges you face. Although each of us have unique stories, we all share common concerns and challenges
* Celebrate with other caregivers the wonderfully unique people who are our parents
Meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month from 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm via Zoom video conference in the Adult Education Building, room 3201, at White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake, TX. They are open to anyone in the community who is a parental caregiver and are free of charge.
