Unfortunately, there are many scammers out there who look for any opportunity to steal your hard earned money. It is important to ask the right questions, trust your gut, and if it seems too good to be true... it most likely is. Follow these guidelines to stay safe. Any reputable breeder should have no problem supplying pictures and documents in a reasonable time frame. If they make excuses for why they cant provide the information, there is something off. Don't walk, RUN, from these breeders!
Smart tips to avoid being scammed:
Ask for pictures of parents
Request multiple pictures of Frenchies
Review social media profiles
Request a video chat
Request references (from vet or previous buyers)
If it is too good to be true, it probably is
Trust your gut
Meet at a safe place (police station, bank, populated park) when picking up your puppy
French bulldogs are relatively time-consuming and expensive to breed. The cost of their puppies will depend on several variables. Expect AKC registered dogs with champion bloodlines to cost a bit more than those with no special markings on their pedigree. Breeders who have gone through the expense of completing DNA /genetic and health testing of the parents to have additional costs associated with producing the litter, therefore expect a higher cost of the puppy. The color can also impact the cost. Full rights (option to breed in the future) will also cost more than limited rights (no breeding rights). Here at Coal Mountain Frenchies, our aim is to do everything in our power to preserve the quality of the wonderful breed that is French Bulldogs. We are fully invested in the health and quality of the dogs we produce and spare no expense in acheiving this goal.
