About Me

Hello Hurricane family, parents and students alike! My name is Coach Tyler Gahr, I am one of the AP Environmental Science or APES and Biology teachers here at The Academies at Jonesboro High School! I am a 4th year educator and coach, and this is my 3rd year here at JHS. I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a major in Education, Kinesiology, and a minor in Biology. I also played 5 years of college football at OBU, where we won 3 conference championships. I am a Jonesboro native and I am very excited to be back home and be able to make a difference in our community. I am looking forward to a great year, and cannot wait to get started teaching.
