Founder and Owner, Dr. Chenelle S. Boatswain
Dr. Chenelle S. Boatswain is a distinguished educator and academic coach, holding a Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master's of Education from Harvard University. Her commitment to academic excellence is underscored by her Dissertation Manuscript Merit Distinction, Dissertation Defense Merit Distinction, and her nomination for the prestigious Penn Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students award.
With a wealth of professional coaching experience, Dr. Boatswain has personally guided over 275 undergraduate and graduate students through 1-on-1 coaching sessions, achieving a remarkable 90% success rate in preparing ABD (all but dissertation) students for dissertation defense within just one year of coaching. Her expertise shines in qualitative research and social science fields, and she is celebrated for her non-judgmental, affirming, and strategic approach. Notably, she specializes in providing vital support to individuals from minoritized backgrounds who may encounter isolation or marginalization in academic and professional environments.
In addition to her coaching expertise, Dr. Chenelle Boatswain possesses a distinctive skill set that includes administrative leadership, research, and master facilitation. As an education leader, she has played integral roles on two inaugural leadership teams, serving as the middle school director for a K-8 charter school in Minneapolis and as the assistant director for the Center for Professional Learning at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
Currently, Dr. Boatswain contributes her knowledge and support to pre-service professionals as adjunct faculty at both the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice and Missouri State College of Education. Her adept management of intricate research protocols is evident in successfully securing multi-million dollar grants from prestigious institutions such as the James S. McDonnell Foundation and Lucas Education Research Foundation.
