After extensive research of what is out there, I tried to come up with a cheaper and reasonable price point. This is much more than simply a back and forth passing of an essay. It's a long and precise process that takes a few months. It becomes quite a journey of self reflection and pride for the writer.

Crafting the Narrative is for students seeking expert guidance in creating their primary college or graduate school essay. This is not like a typical high school narrative because, in 650 words, you don't have the space. We WILL, however, find a story that is unique and truly captures who you are. It requires precision. In Crafting the Narrative, I'll work with you to develop your topic, capture a fitting device to carry your story, and coach you through multiple revisions until the essay is a perfect reflection of you. You WILL stand out. Admissions folks want you to "get a little weird." Well, I am not sure about that term used but we will certainly get unique. When we're finished, you'll appear to colleges as so much more than your GPA or standardized test scores--admissions counselors will remember you and advocate for your admission based on your unique and wonderfully written college essay (see testimonials page). If you have a unique prompt, certainly that is what we shall tackle. Most essays are centered on the common app prompts, however.

This is the most popular package as most schools require supplements as well. In many ways, they are as important as the main essay. They require a VERY particular style when writing them.

*Understand that a 650 word supplement essay, though rare, counts as THREE supplements because of the unusual length. Essentially, you get approximately 650-800 total words to be edited. Most supplements are in the 150-300 word range. There are no refunds for any supplements not used.

PACKAGE THREE: The Kitchen Sink GOLD CARD MEMBER: $1,000.
This package offers a far greater supplement guidance (up to seven SUPPLEMENTS IN THE 150-250 WORD RANGE: 500-600 WORD SUPPLEMENTS COUNT MUCH MORE...1,700 word maximum) along with the main essay. If you plan on applying to approximately 5 schools, this is the right fit as the supplements will total approximately 10 in number.
PACKAGE FOUR: The Whole House PLATINUM CARD MEMBER: $1,500.

This package gets you everything you could possibly need. I will be your personal assistant throughout the journey! Unlimited supplements, guidance for scholarships, hints and suggestions to get more aid from schools, etc. If you are applying to 7 or more competitive schools, this is the package for you.

This is for kids who started the process on their own but perhaps have hit some roadblocks. I will provide up to FOUR hours of service in order to get the essay on the right path. Unlike the crafting the narrative, we work on your existing ideas and maneuver them into a structure colleges like. This does not include the brainstorm that "crafting the narrative" has and is not meant to involve a "start over" stage (hopefully :). If your essay idea needs a complete overhaul, you will need to sign up for Crafting the Narrative.

PACKAGE SIX: Scholarships/APPEALS $350.
I have helped many through the "art" of writing scholarship applications. There is a LOT of money to be grabbed out there! Also, if you are deferred or want to ask for more aid (you should!) this program will provide guidance and coaching on up to three scholarship applications (if they are smaller, I will adjust the total number). DO NOT PAY STICKER PRICE!
*Also note: payment is up front for services and is non-refundable. I have a VERY limited number of kids I take, so spaces are valuable. I turn away more kids than I accept and groupings are solidified in pods throughout the year.
