Preparing For SacrAments
First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion
Preparing to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and First Eucharist (First Holy Communion) is a one-year process: attending the regular Sunday Faith Formation Sessions, as well as the specific classes for sacramental preparation.
The family is required to participate in two parent meetings during the year. There is also a First Communion retreat for the candidates.
The Sacrament of Confirmation
(for public & Catholic school students)
All 7th through 12th graders who have received First Holy Communion and Reconciliation are eligible for Confirmation. Requirements for Confirmation candidates include:
regular attendance at Faith Formation Sunday sessions
attendance at the Confirmation prep sessions
attendance at the Confirmation Retreat
participation in Holy Week liturgies
