Celebrate this Chinese New Year with this CNY “Plum Blossom” Gongbi Ink Painting online workshop!

Gongbi is a realistic style of classic Chinese ink painting. Its name means "tidy or meticulous brush strokes". It's famous for precise, careful and fine brush technique and vivid, bright colors with rich hues. Step by step, you will be guided to master your brushstroke, ink laying, and outlining for this highly visual Chinese Art.

WORKSHOP Outline

Introduction of media, materials and methods used in traditional Gongbi painting. Learn the coloring, layering, brushstroke techniques and colour mixing for each lessons.

By the end of the course you be able to:

• Learn and understand the background and technical aspects of Gongbi Ink Painting.

• Understand the traditional materials used in Gongbi painting.

• Learn the brushstroke, outlining and ink layering.

• Learn the colour mixing, colouring technique used in Gongbi painting to create vivid, rich colours.

学员将学习并了解工笔画简介、介绍工具及使用方法、基本笔墨运笔法及设色、笔触、轮廓和墨水分层、了解色彩混合、着色技术、以创建生动丰富的色彩。

Materials fee （RM100） + Delivery fee for West Malaysia (RM20）for others location country the fee will be different according location : Cooked rice xuan paper (5 pieces), four Chinese ink brushes, one box of Chinese ink painting colour (12 colours), colour palette (one unit) , chinese ink (one bottle), ceramic seasoning plate (3 units)

材料及运费(东马）：RM120，其他地区运费将另外计算运费。材料包括有：熟宣纸5张、勾线笔1支、中白云笔2支、12颜色1盒、彩盘1个、墨汁1小瓶、小楷笔1支、及白瓷碟3个。

ZOOM 视频直播教学。课堂以“听说看”为主，老师讲理作画技法内容，实际示范每福作品视频技法。学生上传作业（作品），老师指导点评交流提高学员绘画能力，课后留作业。上课内容全程视频录制，学院可以反复观看，反复学习。 双语教学（英语与华语）。

About the Instructor

Mr Quah received a Diploma in Fine Arts from Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA), where he majored in Ink Painting. Since graduating, he entered the field as an art teacher in 1996. He developed his expertise and proficiencies in various style and subject of art such as traditional Gongbi (Meticulous) ink painting, Chinese ink painting, Chinese Calligraphy and sketching. He also participated in numerous of exhibitions.

柯士鸿，1998 年毕业于马来西亚艺术学院纯美术系(主修水墨画)。2015 至今为中国雅昌网墨池书屋画廊特约画家。从事研究传统工笔画和主持工笔画创作与培训课，并在国内多个文化教育中心任教书法与工笔画，培养国内无数工笔画家。作品均被国内多个著名画廊与美术馆收藏。
