SecureEdge6G 2025 1st International Workshop on Trustworthy, Energy-efficient, and Environment-aware Edge Intelligence for Cyber Physical Surveillance in 6G Networks will be held on 11th September 2025, Avignon, France, in conjunction with the IEEE Conference on Communications and Network Security (CNS)

Scope of the Workshop

SecureEdge6G 2025 aims to bring together interdisciplinary researchers working on secure, real-time, and energy-efficient surveillance systems at the edge of emerging 6G networks. Building upon recent work in object detection (e.g., YOLOv8, YOLOv9) for intrusion detection and real-time analytics under adverse environmental conditions (low light, fog, etc.), this workshop emphasizes trustworthy edge-AI, physical layer (PHY) authentication, and sustainable, green AI solutions. The workshop addresses key challenges in deploying Intelligent Intrusion Detection Systems (IIDS) and cyber physical security under constrained energy budgets, particularly for batterypowered IoT and edge nodes. With 6G poised to enable highly dependable communication with minimal delay and to facilitate large-scale connectivity for numerous devices and AI-native networking, this workshop explores how future networks can support robust, context-aware, and privacy-preserving surveillance solutions. Topics span secure deployment of AI models at the edge, PHY-layer security mechanisms (e.g., RF fingerprinting, CSI-based user authentication), energy-aware model inference, and adaptive IDS solutions sensitive to environmental conditions. Learning Objectives (max 500 words):

• Understand the vulnerabilities of AI-powered IDS systems under environmental constraints like luminance, fog, and indoor/outdoor variability.

• Learn how 6G technologies (e.g., URLLC, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces) can enhance cyber-physical surveillance by rectifying the challenges in 5G.

 • Explore energy-efficient and lightweight AI/ML models for real-time inference on edge devices.

• Gain insights into PHY-layer authentication mechanisms (e.g., device fingerprinting, CSI) and their integration with IDS.

 • Understand trustworthy AI and explainability in the context of real-time decision-making at the edge.

Examine design strategies for resilient and decentralized architectures using blockchain, federated learning, and privacy-preserving computing.

 • Case studies, benchmarks, and datasets for reproducible research in energy-efficient, battery-aware, and reliable 6G-enabled technologies for Industry 5.0, Healthcare 5.0, and Transportation 5.0.

• Novel methods for Adaptive Security and AI-enabled methods for future 6G Wireless Communication Networks for Industrial Applications 5.0 Program Outline: Opening & Welcome Keynote Talk 1: Edge Intelligence for Secure and Energy-efficient Healthcare Applications.

Session 1: Paper Presentations Potential Audience Security researchers, IoT experts, AI/ML engineers, 5G and 6G system designers, edge computing professionals, smart infrastructure developers, and students. Has the event been presented before? No, this is a new workshop.

Novelty and Contribution This is the first CNS workshop to holistically address the intersection of AI, 6G, energyefficiency, and PHY-layer security in environmentally challenging surveillance scenarios. It combines practical deployments (e.g., YOLOv8, YOLOv9 for IDS) with cutting-edge research in green and secure-edge computing.
