Visitors staying in Venice are generally required to pay the Access Fee (“Contributo di Accesso”) on specific high-traffic days established by the city administration. The exemption is only needed to access Venice on 5, 6 and 7 June. However, people who stay overnight in accommodation facilities within the Municipality of Venice are exempt from paying the fee. To obtain the exemption, you must register your stay on the official municipality website before arriving and download the QR code or exemption voucher, which may be requested during inspections in the city. How to get there with public transport

From Marco Polo airport there is the direct waterbus Alilaguna blue line B to "Bacini/Arsenale Nord" (45 min). The direct waterbus Alilaguna costs 15 euros and runs every hour. Here you can find the timetables and a map of the Alilaguna Blue Line.

You can take waterbus 5.2, either from "Piazzale Roma" on deck D (arriving by bus from the mainland and from the airports) or from "Ferrovia " on deck D (arriving by train at Santa Lucia train station), to "Bacini/Arsenale Nord" (30-35 min). Here you can download a timetable of the waterbus line 5.2 with all the stops. From Marco Polo airport you can reach Piazzale Roma with the ATVO bus. It costs 10 euros, runs every 30 minutes and takes 20 minutes to reach Piazzale Roma. You can download the timetable of the ATVO bus.
