CMU SIAM Student Chapter
SIAM is the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. The purpose of SIAM is to build cooperation between mathematics and the worlds of science and technology through our publications, research, and community.
Our SIAM student chapter at Carnegie Mellon University allows students from all areas to be involved in this professional organization. In the past we have organized panels, seminars, contests and social events. Check out our events page to see what exciting events are coming up!
Every semester we have a graduate student run working group. This is a weekly opportunity for graduate students to get together and learn more about a specific topic of their choice. Coffee and cookies help fuel the discussions.
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact us here. To get emails about our upcoming events please join our mailing list.
