This interdisciplinary course brings together experts from diverse fields to explore the dynamic relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Humanities. The course is structured around two central questions:
How can AI enrich the field of Humanities research, teaching, and applications?
What perspectives can Humanities studies offer to the development of AI?
“Unlike the restrictive approach often taken towards generative AI, Professor Su encouraged us to explore and utilize these tools, emphasizing their potential to enhance learning and innovation, which helps me build my AI project more efficiently.” Bryan Chiu (2024 Summer 2) said.
“Most of my exposure to artificial intelligence was in classroom settings, so it’s interesting to learn about the societal impacts,” Jamie Lee (2024 Spring) said.
2024 Summer 2 Student Projects
For the final project, students are not required to focus solely on humanities themes. However, their projects should embody a synthesis of interdisciplinary insights, integrating both humanistic perspectives and AI technologies.
