Welcome to the Clean Marine Transport and Renewable Energy (CMTRE) Lab

Research Interests:

Our group focuses on advancing sustainable and resilient ocean engineering systems through fundamental research and applied engineering, with particular emphasis on maritime decarbonisation, marine renewable energy, and coastal protection. We combine hydrodynamics, structural dynamics, numerical modelling, and system-level design to address the coupled challenges of decarbonisation, energy transition, and climate resilience.

• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents are welcome to apply for the Industrial Postgraduate Programme (IPP), supported by EDB and Enterprise Singapore (ESG). The IPP offers fully funded 2-year MPhil and 4-year PhD programmes, with applications open year-round. If you are interested in the IPP, please contact me via email to discuss further.

• Exchange students funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) are also welcome.

• Candidates with external funding or who are self-funded are likewise encouraged to get in touch to discuss potential postgraduate research topics.
