Your School Nurse Cluster Coordinator is: Sue de Lira, RCSN
I have been a Registered Credentialed School Nurse for the San Diego Unified School District since 1994. Yes, this is my 27th year having the opportunity and privilege to work as a nurse in the district. Pediatric/Adolescent nursing has always been my passion. Along with a Bachelor’s Degree and Credential, I have a Master’s Degree in Education in the specific discipline of School Nursing.
I LOVE being a School Nurse and primary health care provider within the educational environment. My goal is to promote optimum physical, mental, social-emotional health and wellbeing. This is to ensure that all SDUSD students inclusively have equitable access to education while achieving their academic and personal potential.
As the Clairemont-Mission Bay-Point Loma Nursing Cluster Coordinator, my objective and duty is to provide meaningful support to all Health Office staff at my assigned 25 school sites. I coordinate care and coverage when needed, assist with questions, concerns, and challenge resolution. I serve as an additional health, wellness, and safety resource for students, families, and staff within the cluster.
I am available to all staff, students, and families across the district; however, I primarily serve the following comprehensive and alternative school sites:
