I graduated top of my class in mechanical engineering (production and project branch) in mid 2015. All while diversifying my knowledge with several online courses. For the remainder of the year, I continued my work in finite elements which got published in a scientific journal and an application as a conference paper.
In 2016, I worked in the Colrobot project (at University of Coimbra), which aimed at bringing smart robotics and automation to specific situations in Renault and Thales. The project included several universities including the Fraunhofer institute.
In 2017 I joined the "Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing - Leaders for Technical Industries" doctoral program of MIT Portugal. In mid April of 2017, I became deeply interested in hydrogen and its potential.
In 2018, January, I defended my PhD proposal which is, at a global level, an integration of hydrogen fuel cells with additional systems in order to minimize losses. On the tenth of April, I won a seat in the International Workshop on Innovating at MIT.
In September I moved to Boston to do my research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where I was advised by professor Douglas Hart. By the end of the year I presented my progress to the thesis evaluation committee.
By February 2019, I returned to Lisbon where I am currently based.
