Welcome to the Creative Medical Investigation! We hope these resources will help you to facilitate creative medical investigations with your students or program.
The creative medical investigation (CMI) is an application of the case-by-collaboration (CBC) pedological model established by Dr. Elizabeth Gockel-Blessing.
The CBC model can be adjusted to any discipline by applying an in-depth case study to assess desirable hard and soft skills.
The CBC model consists of 3 components:
a case study
opportunities to practice soft and hard skills
artifacts or deliverables students must produce based on the case study and skill practice.
If you have questions about the CMI, feel free to reach out to Dr. Tyler Wood, PhD, ATC at twood1@niu.edu
