The Tempest was written by William Shakespeare and adapted for the stage by Shawn Peters. This 45-minute adaption follows Prospero, the former Duke of Milan, and his plot to exact revenge on those that stole his dukedom and left him and his daughter Miranda on a deserted island. The events of the play surround Prospero using his magical powers to shipwreck his betrayers and then lead them to several moments of betrayal, trickery, and ultimately young love. This is one of Shakespeare's plays that toes the line where tragedy and comedy meet.
