I grew up in Missouri playing in creeks, picking up bugs, and constantly being covered in mud. My curiosity and love for the outdoors never faded and serve as the foundation for my career today.  

I found my passion in the environmental sciences, which gives me the opportunity to embrace my inner child while studying the effects of stressors on freshwater ecosystems. 

I've chased wetlands to Fargo, ND, Blacksburg, VA, and Lawrence, KS! Every day I am grateful for a career that I love. I look forward to continued growth, new adventures, and exciting research!
