You are probably asking yourself, well what is the Student Philanthropy Council (SPC)? SPC is a service organization that ensures every student at CMC is educated and engaged in philanthropy, able to express gratitude for their collegiate opportunities, and successfully transitioned from a giving student to a giving alumnus.
SPC seeks members from all classes (freshmen through senior students). There are a maximum and minimum number of members for the SPC:
20 total members, including the 5 Executive Board members.
Must maintain a minimum of 10 members at all times.
SPC also raises funds for SPC fundraising priorities. SPC fundraising priority is the Senior Class Gift Fund—handled by the Treasure Subcommittee.
To foster a lasting awareness of philanthropy.
